Together, we can build a Minnesota where everyone has opportunities, is treated with respect, and feels welcome.

It has been a great honor to serve my community in New Brighton, Columbia Heights, and St. Anthony as your State Representative for House District 39B. This past term, I authored thirty-nine bills that were signed into law – each of which ensured that Minnesota is now a more equitable, sustainable, and welcoming state for generations to come.  I am running for re-election to continue to fight for an improved justice system, a clean environment, fully funded public schools, safer working conditions for Minnesotans, and so much more.

I am a mom, an immigration lawyer, and an advocate for civil rights. As a parent, I am focused on fighting for the high-quality schools, universal healthcare, and environmental protections needed to provide a bright future for all of Minnesota’s children. As a defender of civil rights, I am passionate about ensuring racial justice, freedom of speech, and the protection of privacy. And as an immigration lawyer, I want to ensure that Minnesota is welcoming to people of all backgrounds and experiences. To me, “Minnesota-nice” means that our state is a place of opportunity for all.

Together, through coalition-building and community partnerships, we advanced laws that have a concrete, measurable impact on our district and our state. In the 2023-2024 legislative term, we took historic strides towards fully funding our public schools, delivered the biggest tax cut in state history, made major investments in infrastructure, and put Minnesota on a path to clean energy by 2040. In short, we seized the opportunity to advance a bold agenda of investments and policies designed to ensure that all Minnesotans have an equal opportunity to thrive.

I am running for reelection to continue this work to make our state the best place to raise a family and build a quality life — but I need your help to do it. Will you join the movement?
