Together, we can build a Minnesota where
everyone has opportunities and
all are welcome.

I have been honored to serve my community in New Brighton, Columbia Heights, Hilltop and St. Anthony as the State Representative for House District 41B and to be running for re-election to represent these communities in the new House District 39B. In my first session, I authored five bills that were passed into law – each of which ensured that Minnesota is now a more just, equitable, and welcoming state.

I am a mom, an immigration lawyer, and an advocate for civil rights. As a parent, I am focused on fighting for the high-quality schools, universal healthcare, and environmental protections needed to provide a bright future for all of Minnesota’s children. As a defender of civil rights, I am passionate about ensuring racial justice, freedom of speech, and the protection of privacy. And as an immigration lawyer, I want to ensure that Minnesota is welcoming to people of all backgrounds and experiences, a place of opportunity for all.

Together, through coalition-building and community partnerships, we can advance laws that have a concrete, measurable impact on our district and our state. I am running for reelection to continue this work to make our system of laws more fair, to support children’s education and mental wellbeing, and to advocate for meaningful environmental reforms to address climate change and protect our natural resources.
