Caucus & Presidential Primary Info

2024 Precinct Caucuses

The 2024 Precinct Caucuses for 39B will take place on Tuesday, February 27th at Columbia Academy.  Doors will open at 5:30 pm and caucuses will convene at 7:00 pm.  At Precinct Caucuses, we will elect delegates to the Senate District convention and also consider resolutions and other local party business.

If you are interested in being a delegate, but cannot attend in person on the 27th, please send an email to to fill out a non-attendee form.


2024 SD39 Convention

The 2024 SD39 Convention will take place on Saturday, April 13th at Fridley High School.  More details coming soon!


2024 Presidential Primary

The 2024 Presidential Primary will take place on Tuesday, March 5, and polls will be open from 7:00 am – 8:00 pm.  You can vote at your precinct’s normal polling place, or vote early.

For voters in Columbia Heights:

Anoka County Government Center, 2100 3rd Ave, Suite 160, Anoka, MN 55303

  • 8:00 to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday unless otherwise noted.
  • 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on the Saturday before election day
  • 8:00 am until 5:00 pm on Monday the day before election day

For voters in New Brighton and St. Anthony:

Note: Residents of St. Anthony in both Ramsey and Hennepin Counties can vote at any Ramsey County early voting location.

How will I be able to vote in the presidential primary?

Registered voters will be able to vote at their polling place on presidential primary day or by absentee ballot in the 46 days before presidential primary day (starting January 19, 2024). A voter must request the ballot of the party of their choice. If a voter refuses to select a party, they will not be able to vote in the presidential primary.

Will any other offices be on the ballot?

No, only presidential candidates from a major party will appear on the presidential primary ballot. Other offices with a primary will be on the primary ballot in August.

Who can vote in the presidential primary?

Any voter registered in Minnesota. Voters can pre-register through February 13, or register at the polling place when they vote. Note that voters must turn 18 years old by March 5 to vote in the presidential primary.
